Certified training to teach people how to assist physicians was progressive thinking in 1924

Mr. Mandl observed that if physicians had personnel trained in routine medical procedures, medical apparatus operations, and office management, they would be free to devote more time to the treatment of patients.

Mr. Mandl envisioned a college in New York City that provided healthcare or nursing certifications to fulfill this need while providing young people the opportunity for intellectual, personal and financial growth. With the opening of the Mandl School, his dream of specialized, highly personalized and comprehensive NY healthcare school was born.
